I’d like to think that was Alfred‘s idea too. Like Bruce experienced trauma in his childhood and decided to dress up like a flying rodent and punch criminals for a living, which many would argue was not the healthiest coping mechanism. So when he took in Dick Grayson he was all set to dress them up in black and Alfred was like “No. I’m not gonna have two dumbass orphans running about the city in black spandex. He’ll be flattened, Bruce think for one fucking second I swear.”
